Cosmological constraint on the scale of the supersymmetric singlet Majoron.

چکیده
In a supersymmetric theory with a spontaneously broken global symmetry, G, if the scale of supersymmetry breaking, M s is smaller than the scale M G of the global symmetry, the Nambu-Goldstone boson, χ is accompanied by two massive superpartners (a fermionic, Ψ χ and a scalar boson, σ χ) with mass of order M s. Cosmological considerations imply stringent constraints on the couplings of Ψ χ and σ χ. Application of these considerations to the supersymmetric singlet Majoron (SUSYSM) model leads to an upper limit on the scale V BL of global U (1) B−L symmetry to be ≤ 10 4 GeV, for reasonable values of parameters in the theory.

The Supersymmetric Singlet Majoron
We study the supersymmetrized version of the singlet majoron model and, performing an analysis of the renormalization group equation improved potential, we find that a spontaneous breaking of R-parity can be achieved for a wide range of the parameters. Studying the finite temperature effective potential, we show that the phase transition leading to R-parity breaking can be of the first order an...
متن کاملPlanck Scale Symmetry Breaking and Majoron Physics
Majoron models provide neutrino masses via the spontaneous breaking of a global U(1) symmetry. However, it may be argued that all global symmetries will be explicitly violated by gravita-tional effects. We show that it is possible to preserve most of the usual features of majoron models by invoking U(1) B−L to be a gauge symmetry and adding a second singlet scalar field. The majoron gets a smal...
متن کاملR-parity breaking phase transition in the susy singlet majoron model
We consider thermal properties of the susy singlet majoron model. We compute the critical temperature Tc and the subsequent reheating temperature TRH for R-parity breaking. Succesful baryogenesis constrains the parameter space via the requirements that Tc and TRH are lower than the electroweak phase transition temperature. A further constraint is provided by requiring that the gauge singlet sho...
متن کاملLimits on Visibly and Invisibly Decaying Higgs Bosons from Lep
The problem of mass generation remains one of the main puzzles in particle physics today. In the standard model all masses arise as a result of the spontaneous breaking of SU(2)⊗U(1) the gauge symmetry. This implies the existence of an elementary Higgs boson not yet found. Recently the LEP experiments on e + e − collisions around the Z peak have placed important restrictions on the Higgs boson ...
متن کاملStability of neutrinos in the singlet majoron model
We show that there is no one-loop enhancement of the rate for a light neutrino to decay into a lighter neutrino plus a majoron, contrary to a recent claim. Thus the light neutrinos must satisfy the cosmological bound of having masses less than 35 eV in the singlet majoron model, or else violate the constraint imposed by galaxy formation. In the latter case, ντ could have a mass between 40 keV a...
